Help: Standings

Overview

The overview panel offers an overview of the competing teams in the division. The team livery of the current season is shown, as well as the manager and the head designer and mechanic. Finally the suppliers complete the list.

Constructor standings

The constructor standings table shows the points that each team has scored per track. The team in a green background are champions and will be promoted if they're not in the highest tier yet. The teams in a red background will be relegated to a lower tier if they're not in the lowest tier yet. The Wins column shows how many wins the team took that season, the Podium column podia, in points how many times the team finished in a points scoring position, average position what the average position was (with the number of cars that raced in total for the team) and the missed column shows how many times the team completely missed the race weekend (this number is used to break contracts if a number of missed races is in the contract).

Teams are ranked as follows;

-Most Points

-Most Wins

-Most Podiums

-Most Times finished in Points

-Most Finishes*

-Average Finishing position

*It is unconfirmed if most finishes is here or is the tie breaker before wins at this stage.

Promotion and relegation

The divisions are structured like a pyramid. There is only one division 1, four divisions 2's and sixteen division 3's. All division 2's are equal to each other. (Meaning that 2.1 and 2.4 are considered the same rank/prestige). This is true for division 3 as well.

Four teams are relegated from division 1 at the end of the season based on their position in the standings, one to each of the division 2's and the champion of each division 2 promotes to division 1.

The sixteen highest scoring, non-junior division 3 teams will promote to division 2. These teams do not have to, and often won't, win their division to be promoted. It is a random draw which division 2 they will promote to. The bottom four teams from each division 2 are also relegated down to division 3 taking the places of the promoted teams.

eg. If four teams all promoted from division 3.5, one went to 2.1 and the other three went to 2.3, then one team from 2.1 and three from 2.3 would not be placed into 3.5 together.

Note: it is also possible more than the normal amount of teams will promote, for example if a player has removed their team from a higher division. This will be the next highest scoring team in a division one tier lower.

All staff, contracts, sponsors and drivers will move with you to your new division. (Although staff and drivers can have a relegation release clause that they could choose to use.)

Driver standings

The driver standings table is similar to the constructor table, with the difference that the table is split up per driver. The driver in a gold background is your own driver.

Drivers are ranked as follows;

-Most Points

-Most Wins

-Most Podiums

-Most Times finished in Points

-Most Finishes*

-Average Finishing position*

-Drivers without points seem to be ordered randomly

*It is unconfirmed if most finishes or average finishing position make any difference to driver rankings.
