I was wondering where I may find useful info on how to play the game. There is the Help function, but are there other useful how to guides?

Have a question

In terms of development, do I spend my points for immediate effect? Or does it all take some time? I do not see any progress bar or percentage, so I am guessing I spend points to design a chassis then hit the finish project button...

Any help appreciated .

From what I understand, you spend dev point to "iterate" on parts, which lowers how much mileage you'll have to do to unlock another upgrade on said part. Iteration can also help or inder on some stats based on which development mode you used. Beyond that, not sure yet myself.

Yes, you can increase the ratings (with a chance of decreasing as well) of your part when designing them. the risk of negative outcome increases with every click. once you're happy, you can finish the project and produce the part.

So yeah, there is the wiki where you might find useful information. But you can always just use the chat function (main chat) and just ask if you dont understand anything, people will help you! The forum is not heavily used, so it's better to ask in the chat imo.

I hope this hasn't caught you out @Michael, but in Sunday's race I missed that I had to use 2 tyre compounds at the race (I hadn't realised this previously but just so happened to use 2!).

I finally finished in the points, but got a message yesterday that I had been disqualified.

Unfortunately, the penalty is pretty hard:

I lost my Championship point
I also lost ALL prize money for both cars, even though the first one retired with a mechanical failure.

So... after my sponsor rant the other day, I am now another £650,000 down on prize money for entering the race.

Costly mistake

If you go to Championship > Rule Book - you will find a line in there telling you about two types of compound.

Thanks.... I did not know that... I did use two compounds anyhow as I was using up tyres bought beforehand. I will look out for that. Thanks
