I've started some work on updating the help pages tonight. I've refrained from doing the negotiations and development sections for the time being as I think that those pages especially could do with a few screenshots to help the user. Some of these screenshots will require spending points and money so I will wait for the BETA to be in working order before doing it so I can waste the points over there and not affect the main game. I don't think doing a step-by-step guide is correct for this as there isn't really a set way of doing things (you enter all the information on one page and click update usually and sometimes there is a second page with other information on it so at most it will be a 2-point guide).
It would be wise if any changes we make to the pages, we keep a record of what we have changed here so we don't all work on the same area and we can all check through what others wrote to make sure it is correct first and foremost as well as check for any typo's etc.
Anyway, I've gone through from 1.1 to 1.5 tonight. 1.1-1.3 didn't need much if any work. 1.4 (Status) I removed the info about bugs as that is no longer on the page. 1.5 (Tracker) I renamed from bugs and added the info about bugs from the status page as well as updating various areas of the page to include the new feature request and search options.
Edit: Done the end of Section 1 and the whole of section 2 now. Not many changes needed doing.
Hey Adam, just seen that, massive thanks. I am now forgetting to check the forums from time to time as they are kinda hidden in the new menu. Great work again. I will check if I can update some too and will post here if I do so.
I have changed slightly the Development help page to distinguish between the Research level and limit. I also changed some little things as well. Feel free to correct if I did anything wrong.
I have changed the Production help article to make it more fitting with the current state of the game. Feel free to correct or add to it, if there are any issues.
Very very useful to users new and old, this was much needed, so a big thank you.
I also think (and I mean no disrespect) an English user should definitely try to do as much as he can (such as Adam) as I do feel many aspects of the game are lost in translation in their wording which can make what is already hard to understand even harder.
Or someone who is native in english (Adam ) can go over all the edited sections and correct some things. Since the points update I am also using the english version of pitwall so I dont confuse myself with translations when trying to help others.
When I have some time I will start to write the beginners guide there (and copy it to the game) Still no idea what happened to the beginners guide we had...
Thank you Philipe for updating the guide. Probably not only beginners will learn something new reading from the guide. Apart from that, I have updated the Development help page to stress and explain a little more about the fact that developing for next season without rulebook gives you 0% parts. A line about that was already in the help and I didn't add it (so that might resolve whether the 0% parts were a bug or not). All I did is put it higher up in the article and mention loopholes and link to that page (until there's the proper page for loopholes). Feel free to correct it or add some more detail to it.
