Is anyone else having massive trouble with supplier negotiations?

I have a Commercial and Junior Commercial Manager with good skills and 50 support staff but negotiations are barely moving with estimated completion times of over a month. This is throwing every available resource at the negotiation which didn't move at all until I did.

I have previously had no issues - negotiating Partner and even Works deals in a reasonable time. Desperate, I have even started negotiations with no preferred suppliers as a normal deal but it has not sped up the process.

At this rate I may get my deals in time for season 8... should I persist of course. That is not even considering working on sponsor deals of which a number are running out at the end of this season.

Edit* Also have Quick Commercials Specialisation active.

@ Phil: Suppliers are usually slow during the season since there is no real urgency for the supplier to sign with your team and has been built into the script to speed up towards the end of the season and even the first two weeks of each season. That being said it always takes months to sign suppliers where it takes weeks to sign sponsors (days usually)

So I would focus on Sponsors and then suppliers if I was you as you still have 4 - 6 weeks to sign suppliers. I would assign say 10 members to two supplier contracts and then use the other 30 for signing sponsors.

Edit * You also don't need to have good contracts to beat my team!! LOL! I have selected the worse again for next season!! :p

I assume there's some feedback in the negotiations? Fulfilling their demands will speed things up, but as Robert said, the speed will increase towards the end of the season anyway.

I started my supplier negociations for S7 in week 1 or 2.

We are at 40%.

I am still not expected to finish for 1 months and 3 weeks.

In the first week of the new season it'll go up about 40% in a day. It's crazy.

It's a bit silly really. I'd like to see development follow the same rate of increase in the final weeks of that season too.

Would be great to see late surges from some teams.
