I mentioned this before, but I think it needs a topic of its own.
Two days ago my max research level jumped a level. Out of nowhere.
So I set my research team to work on a few parts to meet that new level. Two days, no real progress.
Today, out of nowhere, the max level drops. Nothing in my team has changed. Has anyone else seen this, or know why it does it?
So I spent two days worth of designers researching parts to a level it said I had, only for it to drop and effectively do nothing. What is the point in that?
Surely that level should have held as designers were on it? As soon as it dropped, my level was reached.
It's so stupid it isn't even funny anymore how much of a lottery everything has become. Why did it go up; and why did it go down?
Basic things that really need basic answers because after a season of 'learning' we are still none the wiser!
yep mine moves about quite regularly - I had put this down to my 'morale' problems but I have managed to get it up to original level by signing loads of junior designers - obviously I have no idea how good they are but they must have some talent to pull me back up. - lets hope I can resolve my other issue and get my good designer happy then I might have a really high design level.
Mine was at "Okay" to start, up to "Good" for a few weeks, and back down to "Okay" now (whilst I was trying to get everything to "Good" ). I am Unsure why.
my guess is that the values jumps quite often when you are on the edge between two values - eg close to 4.5
I do not know when the script adds improvement and when you loose
however, I made notes for some months now and the overall progress is given for my team AND I expect the ratings to drop significantly at the start of the new season.
but since I do not know the overall design this is just a wild guess.
I have noticed that if your design team or head designer are designing too many things then the level will drop down until you have stopped designing them and then go back up. As Dan said though hiring more designers allows the work load to be spread and levels roughly maintained.
