Personally I think the shares aspect of the game is terrible.

The idea is good but understanding and implementation is bad.

No one understands that even with one share on the market you would have objectives, and that the difference between selling a minority and majority stake is that you could get fired mid season with a majority share sell off, if a majority of shareholders vote to fire you. You can get fired at the end of the season by failing objectives regardless of how many shares you've sold.

Every season update everyone who gets kicked out of their team complains and frank reinstates them. In some cases this is fair enough, e.g. Geoff, who gets kicked after winning the Div. 1 constructors and drivers championships, but guessing most of the time its not.

Personally I think that we should get rid of the share system entirely, to save the confusion and fuss at every season update.

I would love to see a return of the private life feature from PW1.

Just my 2 pence.

I agree with you, imo it doesn't bring much to the game.

Theres clearly a problem with it too. In my first season i had objectives and i completed them to keep my team. Last season i had one, then i get fired....

I agree, as the function stands it is excess to requirement.

While I agree on one hand; I also disagree on the other hand!!

This feature was to give another element to pitwall 2.0 from pitwall 1.0 where managers had more options, risk and potential reward. While I think the implemented aspect has fallen short I still think that there is a possibility to have this become a interesting element of Pitwall 2.0

So of the issues comes from owning 100% of the team (belief but not really the truth) upon creating a team. This could easily be fixed by giving X amount of shares of a team at the beginning forcing managers to buy the rest of their team shares to own the team outright.

This would give every manager objectives and create a more realistic element as you would need to work to keep your job with your current team. If I remember correctly Frank didn't want this so it became an options for managers to choice to play the game this way by opting into this by selling 1 share rather then being forced into it.

It has been implemented correctly but maybe not explained correctly as why it is here and what you can do with it.

Since it seems more managers don't want to lose their jobs with their current teams then they shouldn't sell shares but if 100% of pitwall managers don't want this then if should be removed.

I am game either way as it's interesting to me to join another team that someone else had to see if I can manage their resources better then them or take a team from the bottom to the top; but I agree that objective need fixed and some of the bugs need fixed before I really get interested in playing around more with this option. (Even though I have 100% shares sold I understand the risks)

I agree Robert, it could be a good feature, but the main issue is people don't understand how it works (which ISN'T Franks fault), and then complain about the consequences of their actions. They see it as just a way to raise capital. Personally, I don't know why you need to sell shares for capital, I have never sold a share and have over £200m in the bank. I made over £30m last year, despite paying off driver contracts, building modules, introduction of testing costs & bonuses higher than prize money takings, as well as hiring many new employees.

As a simplification: Season 1 focus on commercial for the following seasons, season 2 start pushing development, season 3 and beyond is a mixture of the two.

I lost over $40 million last season by finishing pushing my develop, huge driver contracts (Bonuses mainly) & Even Larger Staff salary.

This season I shouldn't lose $5million per week just by finish 1-2 in the races as I suspect that I will be luck if I even manage 10th, which is fine with me since I will be able to hopefully save money this season.

there is alot of potential for this which is exciting for the future - but right now its a bit pointless unless you need the cash. - their are so many teams out there that have sold 49% - indicating they believe they still have control of their team when they dont. Maybe a massive pop up message should come up when you go to sell shares stating this and asking if they still want to continue

Not a chance!! LOL!! My chassis is so under developed as I have not made any progress with it is about 2 season now. This will cost me the championship at least this season.

I am also down around 10-11 with my best driver in testing and do not expect to pick up any more spots so it will be a fight to stay up this season.

On a plus note, most of division 1 seems to be within a few second of each other and I am at last within a second of the tops teams meaning anything can happen with a bit of luck and strategy!!

I also second the 49% since it doesn't make sense to keep 49% of the shares when you can be fired anyways so 100% is always better!!

selling 49% means that you can only be fired for poor performance at the end of the season. Selling 51% means that you could be fired at anytime if 51% of shareholders vote to fire you.
