So I managed to design a new chassis which is probably undoubtedly the best chassis that I've come up with. It's my new long wheelbase chassis.

I've already started a new long chassis design for season 4 based on this chassis but as we know this is different from upgrading a chassis in that it is done under the "New Chassis" set of parameters. These includes aggressiveness in design, focus, and wheelbase size for the chassis.

So here's the question: can I base a new medium or short wheelbase chassis off of this successful long wheelbase design and get roughly similar potentials in terms of aerodynamics, grip and weight?

Yes, Since the chassis length has nothing to do with the potential of the chassis but rather effects the way the other parts perform with the chassis.

As mentioned in another thread short chassis helps with cornering speed & grip while a medium chassis is for an balanced all round parts.

These stats are the total of all parts not based on the chassis alone.

Think of every part individually when building stats but work together as a whole making up the performance of car.

hope that clear enough as to me it seems to ramble a bit!!
