Looks like you can only use your contracted test drivers now too.

I thought testing allows you to hire guest drivers to try out as well, not just contracted testers?

What if we want to replace or trial them, surely this is the only properly open chance we can freely experiment without signing blindly long term driver deals for an entire season!?

Ahh my bad again, the page has been tweaked. I used to have to assign them to the test role in the driver page before, you can literally just select them in the setup page now.

Must be a new thing!

I think during testing there is no need to assign any driver to a role, during the race week though i believe they must assigned a role.
