Can we have the option to cancel future contracts for a minimal cost.
I will have three designers next year when i only need one. I had signed the extras under the old system for less money to get them in my team to see if they are any good.
No knowing that that is going to cost me a fortune I would like to cancel them.
With the info i have they both seem to be okay designers. Would prob be fairer if these were back in the pool of available staff to sign. if not they will wont be signable until next year and i will just fire them anyway.
Will cost me either way im guessing but at least they can be signed by someone else and hopefully I can cancel them now for less

under the old system you pay them half the remaining contract - which is the same as the new system - so i dont know what you expected to do before

I raised this exact question a few weeks back.

In the old system, you could not see who you signed in the weeks ahead, and I too signed up 4 or 5 designers without knowing who they were because there was no way to track them once signed.

Now you can, and I was advised wait until they join, then dismiss immediately.

I agree with your thoughts to propose a lower fee to release them before any contract begins purely because it was part of the old system and we had no way of controlling or monitoring it.

But it is what it is, guess we just need to make do. Besides, it will only be a few million at worst.
