I'm in division 3.16 and there are 8 drivers in our division however 3 of us are active and the rest of them haven't played since January/February. I was just wondering if the inactive teams could be removed and some of the divisions could be merged to increase the number of active teams in some of the 3rd tier leagues as there is int much competition in some of them in these early seasons.
The only issue with this is there would be inactive divisions in the 3rd tier. So manual promotions to the second tier would have to be carried out by Frank at the end of the season until the 3rd tier filled up.
During Beta we discussed adding Ghost teams mean that they teams race even though they don't have managers controlling the team. This would give competition to keep your team honest and hopefully keep the racing interesting.
Maybe we should re-visit this idea a bit as the solution isn't always to move team up or down division to create active teams.
My division has one active team, and even he is so poor he is using guest drivers. This year will be very dull indeed.
Trouble with merging lots of active teams is youll get a hardcore division 3 of advanced players and you might not escape for many seasons, which will have massive financial repercussions on your team!
I see pros to merging, but it could also be damaging!
I have it planned to look into this before the next season update. I will probably set the teams who have been without a manager (or with an inactive manager) to leave the competition. That should free up some space in the lower divisions.
That's a good point. Perhaps with the auto-pullback it can be set up so that the drivers/staff leave the team as well. While when it's done manually that wouldn't be the case.
