Does anyone know if the stats for driver/staff etc update automatically or do we need to re scout them to get the most up to date figures?

Once a driver hits 17 do his stats keep improving if he races in the main races? Will the coach still help him?

The coach won't help him but his skills should still continue improving. I can't tell you for sure (I don't think anyone can) about the skills but Experience improves definitely.
