Hi Eduardo.

Others may correct me here but when you start the game you have the ability to get up and running straight away by making a chassis and parts instantly, however as you rightly pointed out in your chat message you will be pretty screwed for the start of next season.

What i would do if possible is get all of your staff in place but hold back from creating a car/parts and signing suppliers until week 1 of season 2. It may (this will need confirming) then be possible to get you chassis, parts, and suppliers instantly at the beginning of season 2 so you are ready to rock with no problems.

If it was me starting now i would probably look to do it this way although as said it will need confirming that it will actually work.

The first designs of each part you do are instant (i believe you can finish them right away, or after the first hour update). And the first 2 of each part you produce are also made instantly (again first hour update).

I'd hold off on your designs like Tom suggested, until you have your staff in place (head designer and head mechanic), and get yourself a commercial directer as soon as you can, and concentrate on signing sponsors (this is the hardest part, but the most important).

You need to get your finances sorted first before worrying about what happens on track.

Also, do NOT overpay your staff. I never ever give my staff or drivers the amounts they ask for. My entire wage bill for my signed staff and drivers is less than 500k per week.

Also Philip made an interesting point in the chat, it may be possible to use your instant quota to get a season 2 chassis in this season once you have signed yourself up a decent designer? It would be a bit risky trying this but could well be possible :)

Woops... you may well be in a bit of a pickle then.

I would get a head designer and then get to work focussing on next season while also getting a head commercial to drum up business. A 50/50 split with staff perhaps.

If it was me i wouldnt bother with the races right now, just focus on the first race of next season.

If you have a designer hired then just start to develop next year's car now. I think the first race isn't until the end of week 3 so you still have time. It's not an ideal situation but it's far from a disaster. Just start designing, get sponsors etc. Before you go racing in season 2 get the chassis ready. You don't want to finish that design before it's ready because it takes such a long time to design a new one. Everything else can be re-designed quite quickly (if you want to race with unfinished parts) or you can miss some races if you want. Sponsors won't like it though.

when the new season starts you can also make a quick design to start testing and maybe for the first races until your "real" car is ready

a quick design is a start and stop immediate desing which is mostly teribley rated and heavy
