Just wondered what the Division Car Rank related to?
Is it based on lap times driven; or the actual total values and rank of better parts?
ie, can running heavy to manipulate slow laptimes reveal you as sandbagging; when your car rank actually comes in top? Would the rank show your real car potential; or the recent form?
I am wondering if certain combinations of parts, or specific parts give more to the car than the rest.
My chassis is a piece of shit, a real turd ringer. Yet my car is ranked No.2 so far, and only one of my parts is very good; the rest are midfield to worst in the league. How does that work?
ahh - but joint second with whom? the same person and then its not accurate, but you could be joint second with 2 other players over the number of parts and that would put you a clear 30% better than the next best team!
In that case, some parts are MASSIVELY more importance weighted than others! And by that, I assume chassis is hardly as importance as we think :|
This has always been known that some parts factor heavier into the overall performance of your car then others so it would/should factor into the ranking of your car.
It's suppose to be based off of Total values but it is also kept vague in some cases to that it's not giving away who has the best parts overall. It's an general over view of where your team is understood to stand based off the values of your car.
It doesn't as far as I understand take into account weight, suppliers or drivers skill. Which means a team with the sixth overall car in values could really have the lightest car, best driver and best supplier thus wins the championship.
It intended to give a vague area in which areas that you can improve your cars!!
