The supplier system has received a significant update, introducing new functionality, visual improvements, and gameplay balancing adjustments. These changes are aimed at enhancing both usability and long-term strategic depth.
New Supplier Layout A completely redesigned layout now gives managers a clearer and more intuitive view of all supplier information. The improved interface should improve mobile readability and allows us to show graphs (see below).
Weekly Characteristic Logging From now on, supplier characteristics will be logged on a weekly basis. This change allows for much more detailed tracking of how suppliers evolve over time. This was required for the graphs. For consistency, characteristics from earlier weeks have been reconstructed using available part values, offering a reliable history even before the logging began. This will also help with tweaking the values, and it's clear that something is off with the supplier system and that will be looked into next.
Balancing Adjustment: Slower Improvement To ensure a more balanced development pace, the weekly improvement and the minimum improvement per week have both been reduced by one-third. This means that supplier characteristics will improve more gradually, encouraging longer-term planning and reducing the gap between teams.
This was already introduced in the background while this update was being created. So it's already active for this season.
Previewing Future Characteristics[b]
A new strategic option has been added: teams can now choose to reveal next season’s supplier characteristics by spending 500 administrative points. This can provide a crucial advantage in planning future contracts and performance goals.
[b]Historical Graphs To support better analysis, supplier characteristics from the previous season and the past 20 seasons are now displayed in a graph. This feature offers valuable insights into long-term supplier performance trends and can help managers make more informed decisions.
Next up I will be looking into why the ratings of suppliers are at their maximum value. This should be a fairly straightforward fix. After that I'll be looking into splitting up the racescript into several scripts. This should reduce the stress on the server.
Am i the only one to don't see anything new in the suppliers page?
I only see signed suppliers and the cancel contract part, but i don't see anything in the supplier list part
