well hopefully Frank will reveal some of the mysteries of research soon. He said that the new model will be fully implemented soonish, i.e. the junior staff start getting included in the calculation with some indicators showing progress
Im not sure its working Dan... i had an Okay part with Okay research level go down in value even though the approach of the new design was conservative. That shouldn't happen really as you are in effect playing safe and producing a carbon copy of your current part but for the new season.
mmm but you were still doing a wholly new design if you took that option, i.e. you do not get the aggressive, conservation etc option if you base a new part on an old one.
And the chassis is a bit of a loose cannon... Season 4 has yielded my worst chassis ever, despite being based on on a good chassis that I rolled out towards the end of last season.
I wonder if there's any chance that there's a bug on chassis development? 'Based on' always shows blank but I'd always assumed it was just a display error...
Can anybody clarify whether the research level plays a part in the fine tune? I.e. I have an okay part with good potential should I choose to fine tune. However my research level is only unsure. What are the chances of getting a good part over an unsure part on the fine tune?
