Well my new chassis stats are way lower than my my research level and way lower than the potential of the old chassis even though my design was conservative.

That only leads me to believe the system is broken...

A conservative design based on a chassis with Okay potential and and Okay level of research throughout should produce and okay chassis no?

Getting to the point where im starting to wonder what's the point really, why play a game that doesn't appear to work as it should...

I don't think chassis' play by quite the same rules as other parts. I had a massive drop last season...

The other parts do seem to lay by the rules James yes, i wonder why the part you invest heavily in and rely upon the most doesnt? Seems so silly and frustrating :(

My current chassis rating just got revealed, it's not looking pretty either. Lower stats than the beginning of last season...

Well, if we are all in the same boat with lower figures, isn't that relative?

I can tell you that I improved in most of my parts with only a small step back in chassis but slightly improved potential.

So maybe not all in the same boat then. Interestingly did you have your research level higher than or equal to the potential of your previous chassis Robert? If the current one was based on the old one that is.

My current chassis was based on my old one, which was unsure rating so I developed with an unsure rating since I was unable to get the chassis research level to increase from that point. So overall I am only +1 from my research even though I went aggressive and had a chance for a +2.

But all my other parts where based on parts from last season that I had full developed and couldn't develop any further so I simple carried them into this season. I expected as discussed either worse or same stats to be carried but some increase in potential by a point or two so I can develop them further instead of starting new parts.

This helps since I can once again focus on a few parts rather then the ones that are full developed again saving huge amount of cash from developing parts.

Similar experience to me. After 25 pages it seems I am finally convinced that the research level is just a useless big water of money lol!

I wish the research level number had some decimals. Would be easier to see where it's going and how fast.
