That actually makes sense... he is doing really well and his power position is great. He is probably thinking 'you know what i can get a better contract than a few hundred a week elsewhere, im gonna ask for a better contract'.

Just because he has asked for one doesnt mean you have to give him one though Dan :)

The new driver contract demanding thing is getting silly. Why would one of my youths who just signed another 3 seasons recently want a new contract. He just got another podium; has finished top 3 in every race and is looking likely to win his youth division.

Because he feels he's underpaid for what he's been delivering to your team.

And the number one reason is that when he signed the new contract with the old system he agreed to terms that he shouldn't have agreed to due to the old system, so he's probably just underpaid in general.

Here's a stupid problem for you to explain then Frank, why does one of my 8 year old drivers, who wants a new contract, not want to accept the role of Youth Driver, when he can't be offered anything other than youth Driver?

Youth races count for youth drivers btw don't they? If not, then there is going to be a lot of problems coming up very soon.

It's not worth paying them and developing when you will only be doing someone else the favor.

It's not like Lewis Hamilton; where they will stay with you since you developed them but also considering Lewis is also one of the most expensive drivers in F1; it not like he loyal to Merc!! LOL!!

I would be loyal to for $50 million per season!! LOL!!

Changes were made due to some players sandbagging and collect huge amount of money so the change make sense but seems to penalize a whole bunch of innocent people.

I also think the change has benefited the sandbaggers more since they can afford the staff that the rest of us are now forced to dump meaning they will be heading for division 1 with all superb staff members while the rest of us simple try to survive these changes.

Robert, I actually refuse to pay my staff stupid amounts. I'll offer them what I consider a decent wage now that they ask for it, but if they refuse it, then they can go jump.

My current staff is made up of 1 designer I had in beta (who is only a junior role now), and 3 drivers I had in beta (2 youths, 1 senior), the rest of my team has been found freely available other than 2 mechanics I saw coming available and managed to snag. I signed another Test Driver the other week, and while he's only rated at Okay experience, he's still within 0.7s of my fastest driver the last 2 weeks, and this week in the wet is actually faster than a driver I know is good. There is literally 100's of decent staff out there currently unemployed, If I have to go hunting for a few of them every few seasons because ones i have are greedy, then so be it, I'll keep afloat, and keep a bank balance (nearing 50mil now and have remained there all season despite my stupidly expensive works deals).

Let the hoarders have the all superb staff, by the time they catch up, they'll not be nearly as rich anymore, and there is always talented staff and drivers out there unsigned, with horrible power positions

But we'll never know because you can't scout the unemployed, and now they won't take cheap short term contracts...
