Track information

Track: United States Merial Speedway
Laps: 55
Length: 17feet 6inch
Pitlane length: Long
Pitbox space: Tiny

Description

Located in the south eastern United States, Merial Speedway usually enjoys fine weather. The track is quite long at 5.337km but offers only 12 corners and is not considered a technical circuit and therefore there is not as much scope for a driver to make a difference in laptime as there is on more technical circuits. Being a fast circuit with some long straights speed is king and the more powerful cars with good aerodynamics will enjoy an advantage here. Downforce and handling will certainly help but not to the same extent as speed. The fuel usage per lap is not particularly high and with a long pitlane race strategies tend to favor less stops than more, although there are several overtaking opportunities for cars running with lighter fuel loads. Generally classified as a fast, stop/start-style circuit.
