Ok, hands up, I have been doing some (what I deem not breaking any rules) experimental loophole work on the sponsor system.

There is a way/order of doing things and using the tools/ability of the game to manipulate sponsor power positions and get certain available sponsors to sign with you for longer/more money even when THEY have the upper hand.

Might not be rule breaking, more thinking ahead with an element of risk that you might lose the sponsor you already have... but I have just outplayed two sponsors against eachother, and got what I wanted - a longer deal with the original sponsor and a tweaked races missed clause and on paper no different to where I was albeit the extension.

Should I be in the bad books, or or be bowed upon to the ingenuity? :p

Intrigued as to how this might work?

I've not really tried negotiating with two sponsors for a spot at the same time, are you saying that this lowers both sponsors power positions and allows better deals?

And I'm not convinced we should be able to change our currently sponsor deal? I.e. if we've got a sponsor signed until end of Season 4, shouldn't a new deal only start from Season 5 onwards?

(aware it may be that way, but it should really be changed!)

EDIT: Removed.

If you aren't breaking the rules, and simply exploiting the way the game is supposed to play (and only Frank can answer that :p), then what you have worked out is fine. This is a management game, and it is supposed to reward those of us that outsmart the competition

As it is now you can cancel a sponsor and replace with a better one. Pretty sure Frank was meant to turn this off after week 3 but he is pretty MIA right now so god knows what's going on Lol!

I'm guessing this loophole has opened up due to some sponsors being able to sponsor more than one team? I wouldn't say its breaking any rules but will probably be closed down by Frank at some point as its not entirely realistic.

If I had any commercials to spare I might try it myself ha!

In short, I have sponsors I like - good money - but I signed them a while back for short contracts.

Sadly, they liked my division then when I signed, but now they aren't interested.

So I worked out a way to manipulate them and lower their power position to be able to get them to sign me even though they hated me by using another sponsor as a bluff buffer against the whole process.

I make them feel shit, and resign them on my terms.

Takes a week to do, but it has worked on several so far. Just thought I'd announce it once I was sitting pretty before you all twig and copy it and render the entire strategy useless :p

It's not a cheat, its using what you can in the game as above, but more so a discovery of what happens to be revealed when you do certain things that you only see after you take the plunge.
