A perfect car is possible yes but as Robert has said the cost will be too high for it to be sustainable i think. i lile this as it means managers will focus on certain elements of their car in a bid to win races, it means there are numerous approaches to winning and some may be better than others
I don't think you will need a 5* HQ or overspend to get a superb car built each week. It's all about getting the right people in and putting your resources in the right areas.
Agree with you there Adam, finding the right balance is the key to success. I mean you could focus on the commercial side of things and make sure you have enough money to buy top contracts and hire loads of staff or you could focus your efforts and money on having a smaller team with expert skills. It seems to me there is now more than one way to success which in terms of game playability is fricking awesome
So the new reveal in the research section shows that none of my parts are expected to get above Unsure in research, but I've managed to get most to good, and a few to very good.
The new system is no longer completely based upon your head designers skill so you need a Good design team overall to get Good parts. The old parts were designed by your head on his own most likely so are higher than the Unsure rating.
It still remians to be seen if an Excellent/Superb part can be produced by a design team who have a lower research level for that part. I suspect it is possible if the aproach of the design is aggressive, there is a chance it could be 2 levels higher or maybe even 2 levels lower...
I think people will be able to get Superb parts but having the resources to have all parts at a Superb level will be near impossible. As it is in real life really, even Mercedes don't have the best bits in some areas.
