Im not sure the fans element is working as it should, the top team in a division should be making around 10 million from fans/merchandise per season. It's a nice little bonus but 56 million is just unrealistic if that works and gets paid at the start of the season.
I would imagine Frank has some sort of limit in place somewhere, you'd hope
Im not so sure fans will sign up to our teams at the beginning of next season if the price is too much, they may all choose to walk away when their subscriptions are due for renewal.
I did a test this week by putting my membership cost up loads and i get 0 fans. If the cost is too much come the beginning of next season then surely all of my fans will walk away?
Am going to price it like Robert this week and see if i get any interest.
I don't think Philip will make that much, When i charged 1000 for a subscription fee, i got next to no fans, and I'm pretty sure that at season update it will be the same, if the price is too high, the fans won't pay.
I'd been charging 100 for a subscription and make 2-3mil a week (regular top 4, and always on the podium with 1 car), and dropped it to 50 for last week, and made more than the weeks beforehand.
If they all resubscribed for next season, I'd make 16.7mil (which will all go towards my works contracts).
Updating thread with what Frank said in the chat today, so more people are aware as I know some are waiting for the S2 fan windfall:
"I am going to update the text on the fans page, as that's still incorrect(ly worded). Fans only pay to join."
To the question if the fee is for the lifetime: "Yes, that's correct. It's otherwise difficult for me to make sure it's not abused with insane amounts etc."
"I'm actually considering to remove it, or to at least re work it in another form. Initially it was meant to be merchandising (hence the one off payment), but time constraints meant we had to go for this solution."
Yeah, I remember this being an issue in Beta as I brought this up before due to the large pay-outs so I was sure it was changed to only when they join. This means finding the right balance between payments and results will give more money per week.
