How do the yellow stars work ?
Is a person with 1 yellow star and 4 clear stars better than someone with 2 yellow stars and 1 clear star ?
I have no idea myself. I DO remember McDonald's star system though, when the employees had to wear those badges with 0-5 stars on them..... I fondly recall the term: "Jonny no stars" to speak of someone with no talent..
I think the more yellow stars the better the person is, it doesn't always work out that way though.

Where do you find the stars?
If you're looking at a driver - in the Skills page of their profile. The talent rating is top left.

Maybe their potential is the clear stars and solid yellow means their current talent but idk

I would say 1 solid star with four clear stars is better than 2 solid stars and 1 clear star
I don't think so, I've never seen those stars increase so I've always taken it to mean that two stars (for example) is the maximum potential for that person.

the better the person is known the more stars are visible
empty stars only show the scale - 1/1 1/2 1/3 1/5
full stars the rating
1/1 can mean superstar - looser or anything between no real information there
x/5 shows the rating more precisely ..
I hope you get the idea...
