Just in case you missed it in the chat, I'm copying what I wrote here again:
@ Frank: No idea what I am doing wrong, but my new instant chassis turned out bad as well. research level 10/10, conservative, short, weight -> 477kg. I did this the last two seasons too, I always managed to get around 430kg with much lower research levels
Also I have the same designer as the last seasons, and I dont do something differently. I clicked design part, and then a minute later finish project. No research, no test bed, 95%.
With all the other parts it worked fine.
EDIT: Frank, can you check if the gearbox got its development. Its also very heavy in my opinion.
This is something else that I will have to look up. Looking at the database, it does seem that you have made some really crappy parts yes. Either this is a bug (but that would be weird as this has not been reported with similar results in the database), or you've been incredibly unlucky.

i have no electrical or steering system that was supposed to be automatically developed. 4 days until completion.

my research seems frozen Frank. - got 3 parts researching before dev and they are all frozen on the same number of hours/days till completion!
The research issue (or something I need to look up) is something else. Last weekend my conclusion was a display bug on the remaining time, but I didn't have time to finish my research.

Yes they were. And available for months. But this instant thing was a temporary thing we had to do. I'll have you noted (although you seem to be completely aware of all the issues and clearly know better than me) that so far I have not run into a bug yet. The reason why people don't have instant parts is because they unknowingly disabled it by not immediately starting a part project, but:
1. Starting the project and deleting it. After which they started a new one.
2. Starting the project, advancing, and then deleting it. After which they started a new one.
3. Starting a research (only) project, and then starting a new project.
4. Starting an exploit project, and then starting a new project.
In all of these cases the system did the right thing and not give an instant part. If it would've, then it would've meant that this was exploitable. So there is no bug here, just a side issue of something that would not be do-able in normal circumstances.
Yes I should have communicated clearer that people should start a normal project right away before starting anything else, but I live and learn. And we can't all be as great and almighty as you are, the great Marias.

Hi Frank - I am researching 3 parts before i use the instant build - suspension, diffuser and exahust. My research level is superb and current levels for these parts is excellent. For some reason the exhaust has finished but on level excellent and i have not clicked to end phases or get the instant designs! but it is no longer showing as in development.
I go to create the 2 instant parts and it gives me the ability to make them but then says error. Please help
That's a different issue although I see you've already fixed it yourself.

Don't seem to be able to produce fuel tanks. Got the designs, but it won't let me produce them for some reason.
Have you tried what Daniel suggested?
