Okay, Can some correct me but Max research level is the max that the research will reach due to my Head Designer & team?
Reason I ask is my max research is set at Terrible; which means my already awful parts are still better so I don't have to research as it would actually make my parts worse?
If that is the case then wow!! I already need to fire my head designer since his mood went from Good to Bad with the finishing of the season and with it his employment since I need to be able to research if my cars are going to start to improve and be able to finish a race!!
I will wait to fire until I can get some clarification on the above asked questions but I am already thinking of leaving since I have spent 8 weeks with no progress on my car front due to having develop this season car so I was expecting to start researching so that at least next season car (Season 7) would be slightly better then this new season car.
But now It looks like no research until I find a better and happier head designer. Also it looks like I might have just learned a lesson as well only sign Head to a season max since they are too moody!!
I had always though adn seen that teh max research was teh max of the parts and is related to your staff, I had a team of staff and superb max research. I then had a bad weekend the moral dropped and my max dropped to excellent. I also found at times that the more staff you have the higher the max. I would think that there would be little to no chance of getting superb with only a couple of designers
I'm pretty sure that is correct Robert - apart from the bit that states your car will be worse - max research is the max the research can be set by your team yes. - but this is not the only factor in creating a car so if you have awful parts but the potential is higher -research has nothing to do with improving these parts - only when you make brand new.
Sometimes it can be caused by morale. I would wait until after Frank sorts everything out though before looking for a problem as the problems with the week update could have affected it.

Does your research team want new contracts? Even if a junior staff members morale drops it effects the whole research team so you must manage all your researchers carefully or you will have knock n effects. It is similar to real life in that aspect but we would be allowed to pull that individual a side and say hey smarten up or there the door. It would have two effects either an improved morale since you talked it out or worse and needing to fire the employee. Suspension also work nicely.
Which Frank would implement talking to staff to increase morale with Plus & Negative effects for both the individual as well as the team ie research team. Have a range of different things we can say like: 1. Great Job last week on X 2. Good job but we need more 3. Okay, Your performance isn't where we expect it 4. You really need to improve you attitude and pull up your socks. 5. Suspension due to lack of performance 6. Fired with cause due to lack of performance.
Last one would make me happy since after 5 times talking to the employee they could be released with just cause and no severance payout. Mind you you could offer them something like remained of the season to stop other managers abusing the system.
