I have asked several questions in the forum about aspects of the game and to be honest am none the wiser. I was an avid follower of pitwall 1 and had just gained promotion to Div 1 and had a 100% car and a driver that the awesome guy who always won Div wanted in short I worked it out. In short i dont think I am retarded but its always best to ask.

I am finding Pitwall 2 non responsive, season 3 and I have not gone anywhere and am not able too. Here are my problems.

staff - I have asked multiple times and am none the wiser, I cant scout people who are unassigned, it does nt matter if i pick people with awesome qualifications, I cant sign anyone who can improve my team they are all rubbish. Now even bad staff and drivers want wages that are eye watering and even when they get it are unhappy.

research - I just cant make my car better, I cant get the staff, the research level never goes up, there is no clear way to make my car better.

Youth - no point they get poached before you will ever use them and when when he signs for someone else i wont use him out of spite.

I can make money I have 145 million in the bank but its useless.

But my major problem is I log on everyday and I cant find anything to do, Its no fun when you cant improve your car or team. I am stuck in Div 3 and have already written off this season.

I have just missed a qualifying session by accident and to be honest I feel like its not worth playing anymore.

I know its Franks hobby and the game should have a degree of difficulty but what am I missing, I am going nowhere.

Patience-------- there are definately some issues at the moment that Frank will address.

When i was looking at the beta i thought pitwall was going in the wrong direction but i actually like the new challenge. - give Frank a chance and also dont let it frustrate you if you cant work it out straight away. We are all in the same boat on this one - unlike pitwall 1!

I agree with Daniel. Its going to be a long process. It almost would have been better to do this at the reset. But it will even out over the next season or two. Gains may be smaller but i think it will be better as before you could have the best staff and drivers all for less than 100 grand per week. It was then a game of who could get them faster and keep them not who has the best strategy long term

Good questions, and I do not have an answer.
The changes in contracts and research are quite new and maybe not completed - either the feature or the documentation.

My wild guesses on that topics are: when a person is "known" the person has a power position and that makes the person nuts - try to charge as much as possible. when you dont pay the person gets demoralised and demotivated, start to make a bad job and maybe looses the power position again. at least that is my "hope" since I am not willing to pay those wages. 2 milllions up a week? Hello?

Research is an interesting aproach - but takes alot of resources. Since the ratings were to "high" and were adjusted they drop when you spend money on the research, for a while, but then start to raise again. But, the amount of desingers needed is much higher than when you design those stuff... so costing money with no direct output, but in a loooooong time perspective it may pay back. Do not know yet, not enough time passed since the introduction...

Scouting is not always accurate. some reports are just "off", depending on the skills of you scout(s). My scout is frequently delivering reports, but I am aware that some people moan about that... but I do not have any more information, sorry mate

edit: 145 millions, not bad, more than double of my reservs from better days

Look how rubbish I was the season before. Look where I am now. Short term projection things change RAPIDLY in this game. It's all about long term planning.

Sounds to me like you were too comfy at the top.

Now when knocked off the perch, you are throwing toys out the pram.

a La Vettel / Horner / Red Bull.

Yes there are bugs. Yes it is partly luck at the minute.

But we are all in the same boat, and we are all adapting to the new changes and rules. We are all doing things and learning.

There will be winners and there will be losers. You were the winner before, gloating how easy it was.

Well hello, welcome to our world and the seasons we couldn't get better. That's what makes the game dynamic. The system before when you found it so easy must surely have been more boring and er... predictable? ;)

Next year the tables will turn again. Nothing stays the same for too long!

Hang in there. Or if it isn't the game for you, all the best.

Hi Dan

I am not gloating at Pitwall 1 being easy it took me 8 seasons to get to Div 1, but I could see the process of how to build a team and car and as long as you are moving in the right direction, you even if slowly you feel you are doing something. I spent 2 years real time logging on every couple of hours to build that team and the game crashed just as I got to Div 1.

It's a development game. Hundreds of other players endured the reset, so accept and enjoy for what it is. Or if time is an issue, don't waste investment playing online games :p

Ps, make sure you qualify next weekend, you missed a great battle in 3.3 today!

I can sort of agree with the OP about the R&D part. Not being able to make any reasonable progress with the car right now makes it a bit boring. There isn't that much to look forward to.

Sadly I had a huge response but I decided to delete it since I think you not giving the game a fair shake and yes there are a lot of changes from Pitwall 1.0 but I can also tell you that the game is still basically the same game.

Somethings will take time to figure out and others will need time to reset but overall the game is better then pitwall 1.0 as it's more challenging and fixes some of the huge issues we had in that game.

You will figure it out with good time or simple learn to ask the right question to the right people but remember we may not what to share what we know for two reason. 1. took us a long time to understand it ourselves and gives us a advantage over others by knowing what we learned 2. Not sure if what we think we know is true or not so don't want to past unreliable information on.

Only person that really knows for sure is Frank since he has programmed the game!!
