Hi Frank.
Are the potential stats based on which chassis they are tested with.
e.g
I have a gearbox and two chassis.
Chassis A(old chassis) is what i used to test the gearbox.
The gearbox was however designed for chassis B.
When i bolt the gearbox onto chassis B will it return a different value for finetune considering I am now using the chassis it was designed on
I dont think it is that complex at present. I have bolted bits designed for one chassis onto another and have not noticed a difference in the finetune stat.
It would be interesting to know if a gearbox designed for Chassis A is less effective on Chassis B though. I dont think that is the case at present.
I haven't noticed any difference yet in the performance of a part designed for a different chassis, but i did notice the ammount of finetune remaining on an old part for chassis x and a new part for chassis y (the new part was a finetune upgrade of the old part for the new chassis), the new part had much greater finetune value left, while the stats remained the same.
Like Tom said, I don't think the chassis/part effect each other that much, but the finetune value does get effected in my experience.
I'm pretty sure Frank answered this in a previous post in that parts will work with any chassis that is for the current season - so a season 2 gearbox will work with any season 2 chassis regardles of which one it was originally designed for. - i know this isn't the exact question asked but i think at the moment this is the case and there is no differance although Frank may be looking to vary this in the future.
