    How do you select staff? What information do you believe? I have the 3rd best coach in the game apparently yet his coaching skills are very average if you believe my scout. I have a designer ranked really badly but came out superb superb on a scout report, then when the coach assessed his skills he was average.

    Does Pitwall ranking mean anything?

    Are scout reports inacurate?

    I have no idea how to pick staff, any pointers?

    The rankings that the staff had mostly came from the season's run in beta testing. The top ones aren't necessarily the best, just those that had the most success.

    I have a system I use for scouting potential staff and drivers. It has nothing to do with scout reports.

    Scouting reports are only as accurate as the scout, which is why I do multiple scoutings, and have multiple scouts (yes you can have more than 1 scout, and they will all do reports).

    I don't want to give away all my secrets, because then you'll all beat me :p

    I would say your scout isn't very good. If you want more accurate scouting reports, do multiple reports on the staff member. Also, try and get a few scouts. Overall I feel they should average each other out and you're more likely to get results closer to their actual skills.

    Matthew, your "secret" is to hire anyone who will work for you for next to nothing and then pick and choose the ones who do the best job. ;)

    My technique is even better. Click each driver, and if Matthew has shortlisted them, copy yourself.

    Then outbid him as he only pays £1 wages.

    Not as healthy as it should be Tim, I signed expensive works deals for the next 2 season, so trying to not lose money is my main goal this next 2 season :p

    The best system would be to do multiple reports on one staff member. In the beginning I would just go for anyone, and look at staff who might be available from the top charts.

    A scout report is only complete when you've got a level out of 10 on a person.
