Does anyone know if Frank is planning to make any changes to the scouting system?
I am getting quite frustrated right now that staff/drivers stats for people within my team keep dissapearing... i think if someone is in your team they should be constantly under review and thus once all of their stats have been revelead they remain revealed until they leave you team.
I can live with scouted drivers stats vanishing after a while (anyone know the time limit?) if they are not in your team but it's very frustrating when this happenes to the stats of those in your team
I actually thought about this when you wrote that last news post about your boss knowing how good you are. I found it to be a valid point, and I will make some changes at some point so that you can always see up until a certain level.
However the level won't be the maximum scouting level. That would give team managers way too much knowledge relative to effort, compared to what other team managers need to do to know.
There's a really good chance that I will link this to the coaches, so that they are actually the ones who decide how far that limit of knowledge goes.

And Matt thats an interesting point as i have noticed some vanish quicker than others! Perhaps a little note saying 'these stats are not current, use your scout to get the latest' rather than them vanishing altogether?
That's not exactly how it works. Every scout report has an expiration date, and as you can see has a set of skills that are reported on. If the report times out, you lose the knowledge of that set and thus have less information about the driver.
How long it stays active depends on the scout. That said, it should stay at least a season I believe. I do need to mention that there was a bug in an internal date function, so it's possible that some reports have "lost" the information on the attributes much quicker than they should've. But that bug has been fixed (unfortunately the fix only applies on the new reports).
