I've been banned from creating sponsors - maybe i have gone a bit too far with some of them so fair one but generally i have just tried to come up with funny ones - if the description had appeared with the name then maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
In my defense though - pussy juice - in the uk there is a drink called pussy
- Pen IS - play on words Pen Islamic State
- Bust a Nut - spoof candy bar from the film tropic thunder
- Pixelated Bukkake - ok i can't defend this one.
these were the worst offenders in my opinion as i have made loads
I did not mean to offend only to entertain so sorry if any offence was caused.
Hey Daniel. These might not seem so bad but remember that some people play Pitwall very seriously as a simulation whilst others are happy to joke and have fun with all things. So apart from potentially being offensive I imagine some serious teams not being happy having to sign joke sponsors if no others are left.
Thanks for making this post though. It's good of you to put your hand up and say sorry. Hope you have a good season of racing.
Daniel, while I personally don't have a a problem with the names, you have to remember that this is an open, public site. I know of people playing this who aren't even teenagers yet.
It's a professional game for people of all ages and that has to be remembered. Yes you can have some funny names but there is a line. Also you need to be careful of copyright as you don't want Pitwall to have the same problem as BatRacer did. I know there are a few sponsors in the game that are taken from real companies and should have been removed.
While I don't personally find the names disturbing or rude I have had to explain a few bits to my 11 year old son ... much to the discust of my Wife. In one "conversation" she even suggested he didn't play the game.
There has to be a limit Daniel as people have said its an open site and some people take it very seriously.
If this were an age limited game then I probably wouldn't have much of a problem. I personally find the names you mentioned at best juvenile, I've seen worse.
The thing is that that worse has been at sites where they enforce an age restriction policy so that they aren't (knowingly) exposing kids to the sort of thing that adults can handle easily.
Wayne mentioned his 11 year-old son who also plays the game (and as those of us who have played against Wayne have noted, plays better than he does). I have an 11 year-old nephew myself. I don't want him getting a "premature" education in such things - he'll find out about it soon enough.
Quite frankly there are cleverer names to be thought up.
