in pitwall one... I used to simply offer more cash as salary. That made them happier. Is this not just a reflection that people get bored and tired and want to move on in life to pastures new? i.e. you can sign up a guy for years and years, but if his wife hates (insert town to avoid upsetting anyone) his life will be misery...

@ Michael: The staff overall attitude will affect team synergy; the more they work together the better they will be but changing staff position or staff will affect team synergy.

@Tom & James: Staff morale drops are caused by your teams results but can also be caused by staff members wanting something like a new contract. It has nothing to do with being over worked!!

@Michael: Having two designer is only a benefit if one designer is stronger in one area then your other designer.

One is better aerodynamics so build aero parts better then the other one. Problem is this is not how the designers are built. They are built by inventive = New parts versus Reproductive = continuous development.

So it only works if you have an Very good or superb Inventive designer compared to a very good to Reproductive designer. So having the two work together to create an All superb designer rather then hiring an expensive all superb designer!!

Make sense??

Does anyone know if changing drivers a lot impacts the team synergy and therefore the morale of the staff?

My staff morale is plummeting but my results aren't bad (just got a podium, seems not to be mentioned on the driver page though), i wouldn't have thought changing drivers would impact the team so much...

I am a bit clueless on this subject, though I have always assumed that changing drivers did not affect synergy in PW. In real life it must do, I mean a pit team kind of gets used to working with a specific driver....

In testing though? F1 teams seem to have quite a lot of drivers these days, the lower down teams regularly chopping in a new driver for Friday practice.

Right now i use testing as a way to identify if drivers are any good. Scouting takes too long and with the youth/feeder races not taking place right now a report may never come. Perhaps asking a driver to be scouted should involve them coming to test out your simulator, at least then they might get scouted this side of Christmas lol!

I would hope that just rejigging your driver lineup in testing would not count for this. I was thinking more the official designations or drivers 1, 2 or test
