Pitwall isn't a game where you can instantly copy what someone else has done and catch up to them, so I see no need to hide my pace. I prefer knowing how fast I am, and how much I need to improve ;)

I like hiding my pace if I know that I am near the top but I will do a few one offs to see my max pace.

During testing I am usually not running max as it more about max laps completed!!

Yeah true, testing is to get to superb setup for all drivers (incase you are evaluating any), and doing the laps to get parts data for any new ones. But I also throw in some fast laps, and usually a possible race stint scenario so i can get accurate fuel figures.

The lighter car that I have this season should help with those fuel figures too.

Well i focused my chassis upgrade on grip while the original was focused on weight, the upgrade has come in around 20kgs heavier so im hoping the performance has improved to counter.

There are so many options with regards to building multiple chassis, it's good to have but i dont think they often build more than 2 per season in F1 due to the time/effort taken.

F1 has a rule now that you are only allowed one new chassis design per season. So the one most teams start with is what they have to run all season.

I'm glad pitwall isn't F1

After reading through this I have decided to build a second chassis as well as upgrading the current one for the season as I am testing a few different things with development now.

It may be a waste of a money!!

I've built two chassis Robert, found one with better areo and grip but is 48 heavier is slower by two - three tenths.

My updated chassis is better then my first chassis but is only quicker by .300 seconds; which is a bit frustrating since I expected a larger jump from an unsure/unsure chassis to an Okay/okay chassis. It's only 8kgs heavier so only loose a .100 of a second due to weight.

This to me means the chassis isn't the most important part of the car so I think it means the Gearbox is!!

Meaning weight of chassis is more important then stats of the chassis if the rest of the car is good or better!!
