Qualifying has passed but I think it will be really interesting with Vettel trying to make up positions, Ricciardo trying to secure the first podium and Grosjean and Maldonado battling everyone (with their heated drives).
So, it's seems Ricciardo loses 2nd place, disqualified from the race by the stewards of the meeting for exceeding the fuel flow rate of 100kg per hour. Red Bull set to appeal the decision, they say the fuel sensors from FIA are not working right.
What you mean you don't understand it? Red Bull was told that their sensors where wrong and needed to be replaced or they needed to turn the fuel flow down. This was mentioned during the race and they didn't turn the fuel flow down.
It was a clear breach of the new fuel rules. When I seen him so close to Mercs I knew something was up as Red Bull has been a dog up until the first race. So having extra horse power due to higher fuel make sense why they were closer, but also good on them that they would have been running heavier.
Next race will be more interesting since I think more teams will be on top of their cars issues.
It looks like Merc, Williams and McLearn have a clear advantage over the rest. Red Bull & Ferrari fall behind these three teams.
you are alowe to use 100Kg of fuel in one race this 100KG of fuel cant go to engine with a speed higher than 100 Kg per hour measured instantly not average
It means on short tracks they can run fuel higher fuel load with higher fuel flow or less fuel and less fuel flow. But it means during long races like Montreal or Monza they will need to have full fuel tanks plus very low fuel flow rates if they are not to run out of gas. This is why you have been reading or hearing about having to coast into and out of corners plus why the have a red flashing light on the back of the cars. It tells the other driver that the driver in front has lifted and isn't at normal speeds.
