I am doing the same Matthew. Have one completed and another two on the way. For what ever reason the first one was heavier than the one it was based on. Hopefully the other two perform a lot better.

Will be watching you guys then, see if the multi chassis approach works ;)

I accidental finished my first chassis design when it was at 50%, what's the betting that it turns out to be better than my 100% chassis lol!

My season 2 chassis is 10kg heavier than my one from season 1 - are the other stats likely to be worse as well? If so I may start developing another... (new chassis was based on the season 1 chassis)

Depends when you finished it James. If you have the available designers, then my theory is it doesn't hurt to try for another chassis, as you have time right now before the start of next season to get it finished.

Depends also on the weight, was your season 1 chassis light or heavy? My chassis weight it coming in after production at about 430kgs on average.

Season 1 chassis - 435-440kg
Season 2 chassis - 445-450kg
(approximate)

Going to roll the dice on an aggressive new design, with the hope I can switch to that if it looks better in testing...

Started on a brand new second chassis for Season 2, but noticed that all my parts were designed for the original Season 2 chassis.

Will I have to redevelop all the S2 parts for the new chassis?

Nope, all Season 2 parts will work on any Season 2 chassis.

I can't say for certain if there is a penalty or not for it not being the same chassis that they were designed for, but I haven't noticed any penalty (either this season or in the Beta).

Car for next year weighs 924lb, it's lost over 150 lb from this year. Built a whole brand new one.

Jesus, that's a big loss!! Either your previous chassis was absed on the titanic or you have been whipping your design team into shape well :)

Im quite looking forward to seeing the potential of mine next week. Any ideas how many km's we need to do in order to reveal this?
