I have a junior diver who wants a contract until season 38, but I can only go to season 37 and therefore it is a red flag in the negotiations.
now won't sign even though everything else is green on the negotiation.
i could maybe offer him more money on each demand but then he would be geting payed like a top driver and he is only a junior

Yep, it makes running junior drivers pointless if this bug isn't going to be addressed and they just get snatched away when they get good. Mahon had been in my team for 10 seasons and was just heading towards a race seat... then gone. I never even got anything in the news feed saying someone had offered him a contract, from memory.
I also now can't set a race strategy this week as my drivers are still locked int eh slots they were in testing - Nigel Chase May who has just been signed away is locked into my strategy screen and Willington Perez, my promoted number 1 is locked into the 2nd driver for strategy with a blank screen.
Must be a bug generated by the immediate contract releases introduced. Lost 2 number 1 drivers to this and screwed up Race 1 too when only 1 driver raced.
I have assigned rivers their roles and updated the cars and hasn't changed.
