So we are approaching the landmark 5th season which historically (pitwall 1.0) was the season that things started to get interesting. Back then the cars didn't overtake but 'ghosted' past each other! Now the game is vastly different and in many ways vastly better. But I am worried, back in Pitwall 1.0 season 5 was when it started getting 'busy', by busy I mean more players, lots more players! Which is not quite the case at the moment. But things are looking good, Division one has crowned a new champion, and one who has climbed steadily through the seasons from div 2 up to victory! Well done to Matkor - sorry if spelt wrong. With this success story we have a sad tale. One of fighting spirit, another great climb to div 1 from the lower realms, a team which still wins the award for longest name. Western Canadian Chubu Nippon Formula One Development Racing Team strived to reach div 1 only to suddenly release all shares, sack all staff and promptly go bankrupt! such a shame but we expect you to come back for another go one day!. Generally Division 1 looks the same with the same big names but some of the mighty have fallen into div 2. Also the final line ups do seem to move which indicates that there is a fluidity to this game which should allow us lesser mortals the chance to rise. I'm excited for the future though, Frank has been relatively quiet in the forums at least but things are being done behind the scenes. Bring on season 10.

good post dan. it will be good to see how the big changes over the last 1 and half seasons (r&d + wages mainly) effect the game going forward in the next few seasons.

it sounds like people are getting a better understanding of the r and d changes, there is a lot less confusion now since frank cleared it up, which is a good thing as people are moving forward with there plans. I think next seasons cars will reveal the full extent of those changes as this season many carried the boost from the previous r and d way of doing things.

the contract changes i think will be a long term change. we will only see a benefit once all the sharks have retired and high wages have completely gone and the average gets brought down so with it expectation.
