Sorry I think this was asked recently but I can't find the answer.

If I start developing my S3 chassis, does it have to be FINISHED before I can start doing evolution parts for it, based on my S2 parts?

If so, seems like that puts quite a rush on getting it done before all the S2 parts disappear at the end of the season.

Also, what is the logic for that? Who deletes their blueprints at the end of each season??

As I recall from the S1 to S2 period, once you have started designing your chassis for next year - whether a new design or an upgrade - you can also start designing parts.

Blueprints for parts for the previous season's car are deleted automatically at the end of the season.

When you say delete blueprints, does that mean you can't produce those parts or does that mean you can no longer design from that part?

i.e you make a brand new part for season 3, but it turns out no good so you could not then decide to design based on a season 2 part?

Good question. I guess you would have to stick with the part from season 2.

In the season update, all designs and parts get deleted. You will be able to neither design evolution nor build parts from any previous season blueprints. However, if you start an evolution of a S2 chassis before the season update, the development will keep going as usual. I hope it's clear.

hmm i can understand deleting parts and not letting you produce any previous season parts as well but deleting previous seasons blue prints i don't understand.

Otherwise there would be too much. If you want to keep some blueprints from the previous season, you can start development based on them but for the next season's chassis. That way, they'll be "saved" in a way.

If they have to be deleted they should go week 2 the following season so you have time to finish evolution designs for your next car. Ok next question, again think I saw this on chat, can you fit next seasons parts to this seasons car?

No Chris, if you design a chassis for next season and then parts to go with that chassis then you can only use them for that chassis.
