While we wait

New 1. June 30, 2012 04:29 pm
While we await the return of a playable pitwall, I've got a league going on iGPManager for anyone that cares to waste a bit of time playing it.

I currently run 2 teams on it, in the elite tier, and was at one point ranked as high as 14th overall and highest non-subscriber in the game (had to subscribe for a month to setup the 2 car league :p)

It's certainly no pitwall, but it serves as a filler til pitwall returns, so if you want to come along and join in, the league is iGP World Series

Anyone on GPro? I am playing this to keep my F1 fix until/including when PW2 is fully up and running.

I am currently in the league Rookie-157. Today is the last race of the season so a good time to join in if you have either never heard of it or getting back into it.

If you do give it a try and have not played it before, I would be grateful if you could use the referral link below if that's ok?

not into gpro as its not really to my liking.

i did matt's league in igp for a few seasons once a while ago, but the thing with competition is there is always someone far superior to you with that game, kinda got lame waiting around in the pro league, found myself in elite league elsewhere, but that got boring quickly. im actually trying to remember another sim management game similar to batracer but i know that philip eder has some involvement there. my driver on that was called Mark Cunningham, in his first season in the rookie championship after a few races he took off and rocketed up the rookie standings, but i lost track of the website name and checking google has been no help.

IGP is dull - still persisting with it, but with lack of opposition and very little thought into the race I often forget about it.

What division are you in Tim?

I have played both but haven't played anything in awhile.

IGP sucks as you are either really strong or very weak thus you get bored quickly. Development if I remember wasn't about the current year as it was always about the next season so if you had a bad car or missed time you paid greatly for it.

Gpro is very simple game that is real hard to get what you want in the early going. Once you get out of Rookie division the game is more enjoyable if you servive your first year in Amatuer. Very frustrating unless you start at the end of a season as you need the extra cash to compete in Amatuer level. The Game also reward data collection way to much; why to much data to collect. Overall why to much to do equals a frustrating game that isn't fun!!

IGP had some potential but it became obvious right away that the devs are far too lazy and money hungry for that. They made a nice looking game that draws you in, but there's no substance to the game beyond that.

GPro is a giant pretty spreadsheet, and that's all it is.
