number of commentators and myself making noise that this russian kid could be something special. a number of comparisons made that if Kvyat can adapt to f1 machinery quickly, he could be the next Raikkonen. Raikkonen never did go up through f3000 (the gp2 back then) to reach f1, he went straight from f3 to f1 and did very well in the sauber. if Toro Rosso build a good car next season, he may surprise a fair few people. However i doubt Jean Eric would allow that to happen to easily or quickly if it could be helped.

Im a fan of Davide Valsecchi since he entered into GP2 a while back, he is one of the more underrated drivers who never really had a chance to shine. if he gets the chance for 2 races this season with Lotus and i know he can do well, i can see him being in F1 for longer term.

meanwhile Vettel's press management is talking out of it's backside for having huge respect for Webber, Hah!

It's better that Valsecchi is in. Kimi did not have any motivation still.

Kimi never had that huge motivation since he joined Sauber in 2001, but his sheer ruthless talent on track is the only thing that kept him around. I hope Kim's career yet again doesnt end up winning a title again then retiring once more. If Mclaren do successfully get Alonso back into one of their seats in 2015 and Magnussen fails to impress in 2014, it could make way for Raikkonen once more as Bianchi is Ferrari's lead talent and at some point he has to move to Ferrari.

I am so glad Ferrari got rid of slow Massa from Ferrari, ever since the spring in the head incident in 09' he has not had the outright speed it takes to win races and hes had 3 seasons to prove what he no long has.

Sorry I am not a Davide Valsecchi fan and must say I don't see a huge benefit of running him in the final two races of the year. As for him having a long F1 career if he does well?? I am not sold since he is already 26 years old; which is a bit old to get your first taste and as a manager I would be looking for a younger driver with either equal talent or better potential.

No Offence, But I don't see the talent in Kimi that everyone else continue to talk about!! He came into F1 with question over experience and became the poster boy for inexperienced drivers to be given their chances. But he raced for 2002 - 2006 with McLaren on of the best teams at the time and couldn't produce the World championship. In three years at Ferrari, he managed what?? Yes, a World Championship in the best car but also took the team a different direction as they got progressively worse in 2008 & 2009 that lead to Kimi leaving for Rally racing; where I might added he didn't fare very well with only one race stage win!!

As of Jule Bianchi, I am not sold again due to age. He has shown some talent at the lower levels but seems to lost the fan fare of Ferrari and others. He also seems to have missed his time as he should have joined F1 back in 2009 or 2010.

i wouldnt say the same of Drivers like Alex Tagliani, mind you he is in his 40's and still racing at the top of motorsport ladder in the united states. you got Gabriele Tarquini who is in his 50's and still going strong like Jason Plato, Yvan Muller and Matt Neal in their 40's. 26 is very young in motor racing still.

Davide is the current Lotus reserve driver, so it is his job and responsibility like Lotus' to bring the test driver up when the main driver can not. so benefit or not, he needs to be ran in them races. He is also a GP2 Champion so it like a requirement talent like him gets a chance.

As for Bianchi, he is apart of the Ferrari development programme, he is only in the Marussia by a deal through Ferrari to have him gain experience before going into a Ferrari at some point.

Yeah, The age thing doesn't play a large role in American racing as much as I have seen it play out in F1. For me I don't think 26 is to old by overall racing standard but when was the last time you seen an older racer join the ranks in F1?

Sébastien Bourdais in 2008 & 2009 after four straight championships in Champ car. Seb was 29 but a proven racer and even he struggled or deemed to struggle at Torro Rosso beside Vettel and Buemi.

Recently? Michael Schumacher on his return, before his probably Pedro De La Rosa and before that? well your asking for hours of research for a complete list of older drivers coming to F1 or returning. i do not have the time today for such a thing, but if i did, i would of given this response a few more hours.
